Graphics Presets Explained
ROW offers Low, Medium, High, and Ultra presets. Low disables shadows, reduces draw distance, and caps particles — choose it for integrated graphics or older laptops. Medium balances town crowds and open fields; most players should start here. High enables full shadows and weather; use on discrete GPUs with 6 GB+ VRAM. Ultra is for showcase screenshots, not competitive MVP racing.
Individual toggles matter more than the preset label. Priority order for FPS: Effect Quality, Player Nameplates, Shadow Distance, then Texture Resolution. Keep textures on Medium even when lowering other options — blurry armor is harder to read during trades.
Frame Rate and Resolution
On PC, enable V-Sync only if you see tearing on a 60 Hz monitor; competitive players leave it off and cap FPS slightly below refresh rate. Mobile players should match in-game FPS cap to device refresh (60 or 90) to avoid thermal throttling.
Resolution scale at 100% is ideal. Dropping to 85% rescues weak GPUs during GvG but makes ranged skill aiming harder — problematic for Gunslinger and Archer content. If you must scale down, do it temporarily for world bosses, then restore for dungeons.
Audio, Network, and Notifications
Separate sliders exist for BGM, SFX, and Voice. Lower BGM during MVP callouts so party leaders are audible. Enable "Combat hit sounds" — audio cues help when visual clutter hides crit procs.
Network: enable Stable Connection Mode on mobile data; it reduces packet bursts at the cost of slight input delay. On Wi-Fi, disable VPNs that route through distant regions. Link your account early via Download & Install so settings sync across devices.
Performance Troubleshooting
Stutter in towns: reduce Player Display Count and hide pets/mounts not your own. Sudden FPS drops: clear shader cache on PC or reinstall on mobile after major patches. Overheating: lower FPS cap, remove phone case, and disable charging during long AFK farming — overheating triggers CPU throttling that feels like input lag.
Before blaming hardware, verify your build is not animation-heavy. Assassin crit builds spamming effects benefit from lowered Effect Quality.
