Steam Live Since July 26 — Same Gravity Account

The Steam store page for Ragnarok: The New World lists a July 26, 2026 release. As of mid-August the page sat at Mostly Negative — about 29% positive from 778 reviews on August 17, still in the 800+ review band on August 21. Gravity posted a store FAQ answering ping, the extra launcher, and Star Stone shop cuts — Steam Studio FAQ. You can install from Steam today. The store description still contains leftover “stay tuned for Steam” copy from the July 16 review delay.

You do not have to wait, and you do not have to abandon the standalone client. Characters, mail, and event progress carry when the same Gravity account is linked. Steam requires that third-party Gravity login. Minimum listed RAM is 12 GB (16 GB recommended) and about 30 GB disk. Interface languages on Steam: English, Indonesian, Thai, Simplified Chinese.

Wishlist campaigns may still mail extras — Steam Wishlist Event. Play on whichever launcher is stable for your PC; overlay crashes are covered in PC Troubleshooting.

Version 2.0.4 — What Is Live Now

Current SEA build is version 2.0.4, including:

  • Druid — eighth class with Werewolf, Wereraptor, and Human Arcanist forms — Druid Build.
  • World Catch — field SSR pet capture system — World Catch.
  • BABYMONSTER collaboration — promo code, login rewards, and event banners — BABYMONSTER Collaboration.

Patch tracker: Patch Notes Hub. No official class rebalance changelog through August 4 — Gunslinger and Mage remain S-tier.

PC Performance Without Steam

The standalone PC client supports high frame rates and custom keybinds similar to the planned Steam build. Configure controls per PC Controls and graphics per Settings & Performance.

Common launch issues — launcher crashes, overlay conflicts, repair loops — are covered in PC Troubleshooting. Mobile players switching to PC mid-week should link accounts before the first standalone login so mail and codes attach correctly.

Regional Notes — TW/HK/MO vs SEA

Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau launched January 15, 2026 with a longer content timeline. SEA launched July 16, 2026 with Druid debut and a staggered expansion schedule. Steam for SEA published on July 26, 2026 — same Gravity account as the standalone client.

Some TW-only features — shadow gear, Glast Heim, half-anniversary events — may arrive on SEA later. Watch Content Roadmap and patch notes rather than assuming feature parity on day one.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I play ROW on Steam right now?
Yes. Steam listed a July 26, 2026 release. Reviews are Mostly Negative as of August 21. Read the Steam Studio FAQ, then pick Steam or the standalone client. Same Gravity account.
Will my progress transfer to Steam later?
Yes when linked to the same Gravity account on the same server region. Link before Steam launch to avoid split profiles.
Is standalone PC the same as Steam version?
Same game content on version 2.0.4 — different launcher and store integration. Steam adds overlay; characters stay on one Gravity account.
Which platform is best for MVP hunts?
PC generally offers smoother frame rates for telegraph-heavy bosses. Mobile works for daily loops and offline auto-hunt. Pick one primary platform and link the other.
Do I need separate accounts for mobile and PC?
No. One Gravity account links both. Redeem codes and claim mail on your main character to avoid binding rewards to alts.
